We love pets as much as anyone, but Smoky Hollow is set up on a farm with free ranging animals and an abundance of wildlife! It’s safer to leave your four-legged friends at home during this adventure.
Yes. We love tours! You are more than welcome to tour the property. We recommend calling to make arrangements with the office to make sure someone is onsite before you arrive. Please park in the guest parking lot and come to the office. We’ll give you a ride on the golf cart to see the rentals!
Our parking lot is located at the front of the property. This is a walk in – walk out resort with walking trails from the parking lot to your unit. You may rent a golf cart if you would prefer.
Due to the distance, we highly recommend renting a golf cart. From the parking lot, the tipis are a 700 foot walk and the wagons are 1000 foot walk. Foot paths are gravel.
We often see deer, turkey, fox, coyotes, black bear and racoons. We also have white turkeys and chickens on site and fainting goats that visit frequently.
Yes. Each rental has A/C and heat to help keep our guests comfortable. If you should need additional blankets please let us know! Sometimes the nights here in the mountains can be brisk, even in the summer! And even though you are sleeping under canvas, we have taken every effort to provide for your comfort.
Yes, wifi is included for all of our guests, free of charge.
Yes, linens and pillows are provided for each bed. If you will have more than 2 people sleeping in the tipi, you will need to provide sleeping bags or linens for them. We do offer fold out cots and pillows for an additional charge.
Yes. We provide 4 sets of towels in the wagons and 2 sets of towels in the tipis. Each set comes with a bath towel, hand towel, and wash cloth. We provide a make up cloth and a bath mat in each rental unit for your convenience as well.
This is a recommended packing list. Storage is limited in the units:
Food/Snacks (we provide a Keurig with a few k-cups for your morning coffee)
Ice chests/Coolers
Cooking/dining utensils
We provide two camping chairs. You may bring extras for additional people if needed.
Non slip shoes
Toiletries (although we do provide shampoo/conditioner & body wash in the showers)
No, we are a camping environment. We do not offer daily housekeeping services at this time. If you see something that needs attention or need something to make your stay 5 stars, please contact the office and we will do our best to accommodate you.
For our guests, quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am. Although, we can not say the same for the wildlife. 🙂
Yes. You will be camping under canvas. You will likely encounter typical insects such as flies, mosquitos, ants, and maybe a spider or tick. On the flip side, the fireflies are beautiful at night!
Yes! We have bundles of firewood for $10 each. You may purchase them at the Camp Store / Office or use the convenient honor system drop box at the wood bin.
